We had a blast and a longer write up will be forthcoming… but we wrapped up the 24 Hours of Lemons Buttonwillow ‘09 on a positive note even though the car didnt finish on the track.

We are taking the car home and already hard at work on our next concept for Thunderhill in November…

With a week to go before the race a lot is happening at the secret lab of Mad_Science! We have added all the graphics. We are in the process of installing the Rollcage, the Seat is in and the darn thing moves under its own power! We each took turns taking the CSi around the block! check out some of the great pics!

The 24 hours of Lemons at Buttonwillow track layout has been released and me thinks our little BMW might actually be able to hit some surprising speeds.

Thankfully, we will be able to see just how fast (or slow) we are going because Mad_Science got the gauges working again.

The face of a champion...

The page was getting a bit stale so I wanted to give all 2 of our fans an update on how the Threatmobile is progressing.

Thanks to the hard work of Mr. Mad_Science the car is beginning to take some sort of quasi-shape. By this, I mean the engine turns on and the car doesn’t blow up immediately.

We still have a long checklist of things to get completed and August is fast becomming a larger and larger blip on the event horizon.To be completed at this point:
-pretty much everything

We are still looking for any sponsors, so please pass along anyone you think might be able to help - or feel free to step up to the plate and get your name put on the car for a nominal fee. (is under the hood ok?)

Our choice, an E24, is related to the E28 which Murilee has picked has a good choice… however, as my erstwhile good doctor Mad_Science points out in the comments section - our car is more E12 than E28 - which makes parts harder to find…
